ERGON GRIP GP5 BIOKORK

Ergon GP5 BioKork

Sustainable comfort The GP series is a perfect solution for common wrist pain during cycling.

In particular the GP5 Biokork offers up a sustainable approach to ergonomics pain relief with its compound and numerous options of hand positions. Further benefits of this grip are the pure rubber compound, easy to install clamping mechanism, and approved back friendly ergonomics. Not approved for carbon handlebars.

ORGANIC

40 % cork. The BioKork version of our successful GP series combines ergonomics, sustainability and a comfortable feel consisting of 40% cork material. The material comes from organic farming in Portugal and meets strict ecological guidelines. In the inner support, 20 percent of the plastic is replaced by grass fibres.

Ecologically sustainable - Ergon-Initiative “GreenLab”

Sustainability is high on the agenda at Ergon. Under the "GreenLab" initiative, packaging is developed from recycled materials, and entire products such as the GP5 BioCork are made from particularly environmentally friendly materials. All parts of the handle are consistently manufactured in an ecologically sustainable manner.

Playing it safe - Locked down for safety

The GP Series clamping system is extremely secure and easy to mount. Each grip is tightened with only one bolt to reliably secure its position and to prevent twisting. Another important safety feature is that Ergon’s aluminum clamps are cold forged and not extruded – resulting in a much stronger structure. GP grip versions featuring lightweight barends – made of glass-fiber-composite and with grippy rubber inlays – deliver additional hand positions for more comfort.

Two sizes – for more control In order to help you maintain perfect control over your bike, your hands should not completely envelop the grip, which is why Ergon offers many grips in two size diameters – Small and Large. The difference refers to the grip width (hand size), meaning a larger hand will have a more positive fit on a thicker grip, while a smaller hand is better fit to a smaller grip. For hand/glove sizes 6.5 to 8.5 we recommend Small, for 8.5 to 10.5 Large usually is better.
